Carolyn Adcock-Smith

Carolyn Adcock-Smith was born in Nashville and grew up on Riley Adcock Road in Joelton, Tennessee. She attended college in North Carolina and Tennessee and earned her degree in Accounting. She has been employed with Tennessee Department of Labor for nineteen years and is an internal tax auditor.

She has been happily married to her patient and loving husband, BJ, for thirty years, raised two amazing children, and loves to spoil her two delightful grandchildren.

She is an accomplished seamstress who has been sewing since she was thirteen. Over many years, she has made countless projects and sewn clothes for her children and grandchildren, and just about everyone else in the family, and for friends. She has won many ribbons in county and state fairs. She is passionate and meticulous with her sewing and her family research.

Carolyn has been involved in genealogy research for over thirty years. She likes the hands-on approach to researching family history. She is energized by holding the actual documents that were held by her ancestors. She feels a stronger connection when she visits the graves of her ancestors.

She feels blessed to have made, and will continue to make, footprints on the banks of Sycamore Creek.
